Network Servers For The Next Nintendo Device Reportedly Refer To It As “P01”

Original research by renowned leaker Midori indicates that network servers for the upcoming Nintendo console refer to it with the codename “P01.”

Midori’s findings reveal that the servers configured with this codename are unused and share similarities with those of earlier Nintendo hardware, hinting at preparations for a significant launch. Moreover, the servers are equipped with a brand new certificate, mirroring the certificate found in rumors about the next Nintendo hardware.

Interestingly, one server appears to facilitate network transfers between the current Nintendo Switch (HAC) and the new “P01,” suggesting some form of backward compatibility or enhanced connectivity features such as voice chat.

This connectivity could play a crucial role in the transition to the new system, ensuring a seamless experience for users upgrading from the Switch. Given that there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, take this with a lot of salt.

The company has already confirmed that it will announce the Switch’s successor within this fiscal year meaning before April. 2025.

The succeeding chapter in Nintendo’s legacy is poised to be an exciting one.
