The Hong Kong PlayStation Store page for Atlus’ Metaphor: ReFantazio has been updated with new information regarding its gameplay mechanics. During the daylight hours, players embark on quests, dive into dungeons, and uncover hidden treasures throughout the expansive world.
As the sun begins to set and night takes over, the focus shifts towards nurturing relationships, forging bonds with companions, and cultivating character virtues. These elements contribute to the game’s ultimate goal reminiscent of the Social Links in Persona. Yet again, mastering time management is key, as both daytime and nighttime activities will contribute to your journey’s success.
Beyond the day and night gameplay cycle, the store page also lists other details about the systems and features in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
We’ll be able to traverse the various landscapes atop a “gauntlet runner.” Furthermore, the combat system will involve a unique combination that blends the tactics nature of turn-based with the dynamism of real-time action, offering a fresh take on Atlus’ games.
In addition, Metaphor: ReFantazio will offer a deep character customization system that grants players the freedom to customize their party’s strengths & playstyle to suit their preferences.
Elsewhere, the Xbox Japan page confirms that Metaphor is rated Cero C (ages 15 and up) in Japan for “Crime” and “Violence.” At the moment, further details about the international release remain under wraps. Nonetheless, the newly revealed information fuels the anticipation for Atlus’ new IP.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is set for a worldwide release in Fall 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
