Concerns regarding the hardware requirements for the PC version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 are rising.
Multiple publications, including PC Gamer, report widespread performance issues with Dragon’s Dogma 2, with frame drops occurring regardless of location, even in detailed areas like Vernworth.
Further complicating matters, RPG Site confirms current incompatibility with the Steam Deck, potentially for an extended period. This stems from the unstable performance of the game on PC.
Speaking to IGN, Capcom has acknowledged the issues, stating, “We are aware that in such situations, settings that reduce GPU load may currently have a limited effect; however, we are looking into ways to improve performance in the future.”
Despite the performance issues, Capcom’s latest title has garnered a positive reception across all platforms. The PC version currently sits at 90 on Metacritic even with all the reported optimization issues while the PS5 & Xbox counterparts hold a rating of 87 and 86 respectively.
