Several content updates released over the past year, including a crossover with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, likely contributed to the game’s sustained popularity.
Lies of P has garnered recognition as one of the strongest non-FromSoftware Souls-like experiences in recent memory. It successfully captures the genre’s core elements while incorporating unique twists that enrich the challenging gameplay, allowing it to form an identity of its own.
Furthermore, the devs’ conduct towards the game’s community and development enabled this title to draw positive attention. Combined with the fact that Neowiz released a polished product in a rough era along with its clear inspiration from Bloodborne, Lies of P resonates with many people around the globe.
This success has reportedly led to media adaptation offers, with fans eagerly anticipating a potential sequel. There’s yet to be any official confirmation on either of those ends though.
Lies of P launched in September 2023 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, macOS, and PC.
